The Sennheiser PXC 450 headphones are certainly one of the best noise cancelling headphones on the market, reduction of upto 90% of ambient noise is quoted.
The main problem with these headphones was always the cost, now they have been super-ceded by the PXC 550 they offer much better value for money.
All the reviews comment on the excellent sound quality from the headphones as well as the outstanding quality of construction.
